Establish a Consistent Skincare Routine
Ideally, you want to set up a morning and evening skincare routine. Your morning routine will consist of using a light cleanser, a toner, or serum followed by a moisturizer that contains a physical sunscreen of 30 SPF or higher—Easy peasy, and don’t forget to treat your neck, chest, and hands.
At night, we hear all the time from patients who forget to wash their makeup off before bed. Eeek! Removing your makeup before bed is critical for achieving healthy skin. Put on a hydrating or calming serum and your favorite night cream and then add retinol. Our providers recommend adding retinol as the last step because it’s going to pull all of the great ingredients you just put on your skin into your skin.
